Any intelligent person will see that there is a massive difference between driving on the test track and on the actual roads. Driving in Nepal can be a very dangerous activity as road casualties are some of the highest in the whole world! Last year more than 2000 people lost their lives on Nepal’s roads! . Taking a Government driving test will teach you some control skills, but is inadequate to prepare you for life on the real roads. Unfortunately until the Government realises this, then road casualties will continue to rise year on year.
You can do something to improve this situation yourself by taking some post test lessons on the road with our qualified instructors. These lessons will help you make the big leap from test track to actual road driving. All our road cars are fitted with industry leading imported dual controls and car dash cameras, so we record your whole lesson inside/outside the car. This gives us the opportunity to go over any points that may arise on the lesson.
Two wheeler 'ON THE ROAD' lessons are also available. As the vast majority of road casualties are bike riders it is of utmost importance to gain experience with a trained instructor. You can use your own bike or one from our fleet. A trainer will follow on a seperate bike, behind you and you will be linked with a voice intercom with your instructor. You will be instructed in all same areas covered by the Car training, plus correct road positioning (comand position) and instruction on braking on different Road Surfaces. Many two wheel riders learn the hard way about the correct way to brake. Don't be one of them!
Lessons last for a minimum of 90 minutes. Even longer times can be arranged, but we would recommend a maximum time of three hours, as these 'On The Road' lessons can be very intense and tiring.
The benefit of these lessons are HUGE because their purpose is to help you and other road users keep life and limb ! Priceless !
You will need a FULL NEPALI DRIVING LICENCE for on the road lessons.
Car lessons are charged at a rate of 3500 NPR per hour.
Two wheelers are charged at a rate of 2750 NPR per hour. (This price also includes the instructors bike fee.)
Discounts are available for multiple hours.
Our qualified instructors will assess you by asking questions and taking into account any road experience you may already have. If you have very little or no road experience you will be driven by your instructor to a quiet area to start with. As you progress you will be taken to increasingly more complex junctions and roads. Do not forget our Instructors have dual controls fitted so can help, or control you if you are in any difficulties. You will find this is very reassuring on these early 'ON THE ROAD LESSONS'.
You may also have a certain area of your driving that you feel a lack of confidence in or feel you need to improve, so we will help you through these subjects.
